I&E Manager
Purpose of Role:
To supervise the daily work plans and performance of the Electrical and Instrument maintenance team members. Supervise activities on planning and co-ordination systems to ensure that the production availability meets the required performance targets. Co-ordinate corrective maintenance and monitor the performance of the team members. Implementing planned and corrective maintenance on all Electrical & Instrument production equipment offshore, in a safe and competent manner, to safeguard the availability and operating condition so that production targets and business objectives are achieved .
Responsibilities
Management of the core Electrical and instrument maintenance team in line with safety and production critical planned and unplanned activity requirements.
Ensure training and competency requirements for Electrical and Instrument technicians are identified and variances and gaps identified and closed.
Responsible for the detailed planning and scheduling of the electrical and Instrument work to which they are assigned.
Responsibilities include estimating, detailed material take-offs, sizing of conduit, and wiring per NEC, and procurement of field material.
Integrate multiple engineering information packages and develop construction plans and other deliverables for the field and supervision.
Reviewing engineering information packages for constructability and completeness
Ensures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs.
Develops a plan for completion of all work orders, including an estimate of the labor required and a listing of the parts or materials needed.
Ensure Instrument shutdown work orders are scheduled in line with planned shutdown dates and they are resourced and prepared as required
Specify tools and special equipment necessary for completion of the work order.
Developing detailed construction plans and other deliverables for the field and supervision.
Work with Procurement, Engineering and outside suppliers as required to order all parts and materials required to complete any given task and lists them in the work order plan.
Participates in planning detailed shutdown and turnaround work.
Work closely with other Project Manager to ensure job is running as a unit toward a common goal.
Provide first line troubleshooting and problem solving for control on electrical & instrument workscopes
Engage closely with Electrical and Instrument Technical Authority with regards to request to defer maintenance if compliance band cannot be met.
Liaise closely with onshore support personnel for daily, weekly and longer term plan inputs to ensure readiness for execution.
Ensure the electrical and instrument section of the maintenance plan is prepared and approved in a timely manner, and critical interfaces are identified and co-ordinated.
Monitor progress of Electrical and Instrument plan and taking any corrective actions for daily planning sheets and weekly maintenance plan.
Carry out frequent site inspection to review progress on all instrument work sites
Ensure roll out of any revision to electrical and instrument procedures and the coaching of personnel on the new procedures.
Raise and monitoring electrical and instrument change requests through the Management of Change (MoC) process.
Complete annual appraisals for all electrical and instrument maintenance personnel.
Mentor Instrument trainees and apprentices to ensure development of technical ability and behaviour meets required standard.
Minimum Requirements:Experience, Education and Certification
Relevant offshore experience or in a similar role environment with maintenance activities, preferably with experience of multi-skilling and supervisory experience.
Must be willing to attain Louisiana and Texas contractor electrical license.
Possess a minimum of fifteen (10) years of hands-on experience for installing and supervising electrical power, control, measurement, instrumentation and safety systems in the oil and gas industry.
Bachelor’s Degree or a technical diploma is desired.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Possess five (5) or more years in project management; including but not limited to, tracking project financials, quality control, field supervision, and production of all phases of installation of electrical and instrument systems.
Mandatory Offshore Certification (BOSIET, TWIC, etc.).
Experienced in preparing comprehensive bid packages for projects.
Proficient in reading and redlining electrical and control system drawing packages.
Well-versed in a wide range of electrical and instrumentation components commonly used in the oil and gas industry.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of power and control circuits with proven ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate effective problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent computer skills
