Job Title: Mold PM Technician

Job Description

Perform deep cleaning and preventative maintenance on molds, tooling, fixtures, and other mold components. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Troubleshoot abnormal conditions and perform minor mold repairs to maintain production requirements. Address various injection mold process issues, including temperature control, mechanical issues, and hydraulic problems. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment. Molds can range from 650 - 2700 tons.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning and preventative maintenance on molds, tooling, fixtures, and other mold components.

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Troubleshoot abnormal conditions and perform minor mold repairs to maintain production requirements.

• Address various injection mold process issues, including temperature control, mechanical issues, and hydraulic problems.

• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with injection press, including injection mold and press in plastics or rubber.

• Experience with robots (Star, Motoman - 6 axis).

• Proficiency in startups and changeovers.

• Ability to set mold conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of troubleshooting, mechanical issues, and changeover processes.

• Experience with injection molding, blow molding, and plastic injection molding.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and fast-paced, suitable for a tier-one automotive supplier. Technicians must be comfortable wearing multiple hats and be open to working overtime. Required attire includes eye protection and steel-toed boots. The facility operates on a Just-In-Time (JIT) production system, where materials are immediately turned into products and shipped for assembly.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lafayette, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $59280.00
