Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Lafayette, Indiana, United States. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial management of our organization, ensuring fiscal health and sustainability. This position will encompass all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of financial operations within the organization
• Prepare and manage the organization's budget, ensuring fiscal health and sustainability
• Handle accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prepare and present financial reports for executive leadership, aiding strategic decision-making processes
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
• Utilize skills in auditing, budget processes, and month-end close procedures
• Operate QuickBooks and other financial software to manage and process financial information
• Handle Grant Accounting, ensuring all grant funds are properly managed and reported
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to contribute to the overall success of the organization. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a Controller role or similar capacity
• Demonstrable competence in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven expertise in Auditing and Budget Processes
• Experience with Month End Close is required
• Must be proficient in using QuickBooks
• Knowledge and experience in Grant Accounting is a must
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential
• Must possess strong leadership qualities and personnel management skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with other departments to align company goals and strategies
• Must have a strong ethical code and uphold company values and compliance
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and speed
• Ability to adapt to new software and technologies quickly.
