Using experience, ingenuity and innovation, the Reimbursement Consultant is responsible for providing leadership in the development, planning and execution of reimbursement and health economics strategies for targeted ENDO businesses. Key areas of focus will be products in the pipeline, currently on the market, evaluated in business development due diligence, licensing and acquisitions.

Under the direction of the Global Senior Director, Health Economics, Policy & Reimbursement, this role will lead the charge in developing strategy and tactical execution in areas including reimbursement, economic value research, agency submissions, tool development while leveraging best practice sharing across targeted regions. This position will be expected to provide input in the product development process (PDP) including analysis of regional evidence requirements, articulation of the reimbursement landscape and support of regional plans that reflect the global payer and stakeholder needs on economic value.

A Day In The Life

· Lead the assessment, development and execution of US and OUS reimbursement strategies

· Ensure appropriate reimbursement, health economics and policy analyses and perspectives are integrated into business plans

· Working knowledge of the AMA CPT submissions process and tactical execution for select Endoscopy OU businesses.

· Monitors regional policy issues and conducts risk analysis in targeted ENDO businesses; including CMS comment submissions in collaboration with ENDO HEPR, Corporate HEPR, Government Affairs and other OU HEPR teams

· Strong understanding of the US market and medical device reimbursement processes/channels with a desire to expand scope globally

· Identify and communicate evidence requirements to optimize the global reimbursement/access landscape through creation of economic evidence strategies to support future research designs

· Collate and summarize priority clinical and economic evidence to support value positions

· Support the development of global value dossiers for government agency submissions, health technology assessment (HTA) and to underpin product value positioning

· Collaborate with regional HEPR country-level teams enabling customized reimbursement strategies aligned with product lifecycle position and business priorities

· Integrates cross-functionally with global and regional stakeholders including Clinical, Commercial, Legal, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D, Corporate & Global HEPR to drive reimbursement optimization

· Responsible for annual objective setting and monthly ENDO LT Operations Mechanics business review updates specific to the DX side of the ENDO portfolio

· Provide HEPR training and education programs to internal teams and may also engage externally with Physicians, Hospital Administration and Payer stakeholders

· Develops strategic relationships with professional societies, medical associations, advocacy groups, thought leaders to provide leadership and focus in areas of mutual interest including physician & facility reimbursement, coding, payment, coverage, guidelines.

Must Have; Minimum Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree

· Minimum 10 years’ experience in reimbursement, market access, health economics or medical device

· Or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in reimbursement, market access, health economics or medical device

Nice To Have

· Master’s degree in health policy, business administration, public administration or a related discipline

· Knowledge of medical device lines (diagnostics/therapeutics/SaaS/SaMD) including related HEPR dynamics and anticipated impact on product life cycle and commercialization

· Experience with AMA CPT Editorial Panel process, formulating strategies, supporting submissions

· Working knowledge of CMS reimbursement processes, rulemaking and comment submissions

· Policy research and review – formulating strategies and crafting submissions to influence outcomes in terms of increasing patient and market access

· Ability to give best in class reimbursement advice to key business unit functions, either directly or by leveraging external expertise through consultants

· Develop economic research for external publications (ex. claims databases)

· Able to apply strong analytical skills to a variety of situations of varying ambiguity

· Demonstrated ability to work and lead in a matrixed organization including Director-level teams

· Project leadership experience leading cross-functional teams and through consultants

· Experience with Microsoft suite of products with an emphasis on PowerPoint, Excel, Word

· Novice to Intermediate modeling (ex. Excel) experience

· Experience working in a an early-stage or fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

· Experience reviewing HTAs, coverage policies, payment regulations - interpreting business impact

· Ability to forge alliances and stay connected with business unit partners on a day-to-day basis

· Must be self-motivated with effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration among businesses and to direct and motivate others.
