The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs Air Combat Command (ACC), 16th Air Force (16 AF), 688th Cyberspace Wing (688 CW), 38th Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group (38 CEIG), Joint Base San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Serves as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues. Assists in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements. Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of a body of standardized rules, procedures, or operations requiring considerable training and experience to perform the full range of standard clerical and non-clerical assignments and resolve recurring problems; and the skill, acquired through considerable training and experience, to operate and adjust varied equipment for purposes such as performing numerous standardized tests or operations. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. 2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. 3. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information in a complex security environment. 4. Knowledge of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues. 5. Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. 6. Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and posses the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
