Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial or Commercial Electrician to join our team. With a minimum of 5 years of experience, the ideal candidate will be well-versed in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial or commercial settings. As an Industrial or Commercial Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, lighting, and control systems, in industrial and commercial environments.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and code requirements.
Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.

Work Environment
Start time is between 6-7 AM, typically working an 8-10 hour day. Projects can vary from commercial to industrial, including schools, churches, and manufacturing sites, and can last from 3 months to 1 year. You will be moved around based on project needs and can be located anywhere in Middle Tennessee. The hiring manager is open to relocating you throughout the area.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
