Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Install and wire electrical systems, including circuits, panels, switches, and outlets. Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and diagnose issues using testing equipment.Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as wiring, fuses, circuit breakers, relays, and transformers. Provide guidance and training to less experienced electricians or apprentices.
Operate and maintain electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems. Calibrate and adjust electrical systems to optimize performance.Monitor equipment performance and address abnormalities promptly.
Follow safety protocols to prevent electrical hazards and accidents. Ensure that all electrical work complies with relevant safety codes and regulations. Conduct safety inspections and report any potential hazards.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Document equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and maintenance schedules.
Respond to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, to minimize downtime.Perform emergency repairs and ensure the timely restoration of electrical services.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
Active State of Texas journeyman license.
Minimum 10 years of experience.
Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks.
Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Machinist trade is a plus.
Experience reading electrical blueprints.
