Clean Harbors Health and Safety Supervisor in La Porte, Texas

We are seeking a diplomatic and empathetic Health and Safety Supervisor to join our La Porte, TX team. Responsibilities include but not limited to acting as the first point of contact for addressing employee concerns regarding health and safety policy, report a breach of policy, supervise the environmental H&S programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations.

What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?

  • 3-5 years' experience working as a H&S professional in a heavy industrial environment preferred

  • Bachelor's in industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety or related field preferred.

  • Certification of Industrial or Safety Professional and/or ability to obtain CSST or OSHA 500

  • Ability to communicate well with internal customers and consult the union and management where necessary

  • Communicate and address any safety concerns with employees

  • Must be able to multi-task and change direction at a moment's notice

  • Computer savvy
