Job Description

Installation, Repair, Maintenance

Crestron and Extron

Install complete audiovisual packages including but not limited to projectors, displays, wiring, cabling, computer controls, rack-building, control systems, sound systems, and video conference systems.

Mount and install electric and manual projection screens with the ability to flush mount screens in a T-bar ceiling. Design and fabricate electronic circuits and/or mechanical devices as needed.

Under the guidance of the engineering staff, design and develop new audiovisual systems and modify existing systems.

Troubleshoot, isolate and repair audio visual equipment.

Uses tools such as hand tools, volt/ohm meters, electronic test equipment, measurement tools, and soldering irons in order to accomplish necessary repairs to return equipment to normal operating condition.

Troubleshoots malfunctions in emergency situations and performs emergency repairs at University locations such as classrooms, computer labs, conference, and seminar rooms.

Responsible for managing maintenance agreements to campus customers and maintaining records and performing maintenance on schedule.

Programming

Develop, perform, and manage advanced system commissioning procedures for all audiovisual and non-audiovisual systems.

Develop, perform, and manage control system training program for new staff members.

Perform needs assessment with users for required interface layout and system functions.

Program, calibrate, and test audiovisual control systems.

Program, calibrate and test audiovisual control interfaces. To include button panel, touch panel, iPad, iPhone, Droid, etc.

Program, calibrate, and test digital sound processors, control interfaces for digital sound processors.

Program, calibrate, and test IP configurations of Digital Media systems, audiovisual control systems

Program, calibrate, and test IP configurations of digital sound processors, local network switches.

Understand and execute to university standards and regulations.

Develop, perform and manage advanced system commissioning procedures.

Develop, perform and manage control system training program for new staff members.

Train clients on operation of audiovisual systems.
