Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in La Jolla, California

Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a critical role in managing the company’s accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for accuracy in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approval.

  • Manage payment cycles, including preparing and issuing payments to vendors.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts payable records.

  • Assist in month-end closing activities and support financial reporting.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to streamline AP processes.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2-3+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the tech industry is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools.

  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic financial principles.
