Schedule Weekly Hours:24 Gundersen Health System is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse for our 18 bed Medical Surgical Unit. This is your opportunity to provide patient and family centered care in a healing environment while doing the work you love in the beautiful coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin. What you will do: On call or part time - candidates could work on call or any hours up to 48 hours every two weeks (0.6 fte) 8-hour shifts. Rotating Days (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) and pm\'s (2:30 pm- 11:00 pm) Every other weekend and holiday Care for a wide array of medical surgical patients with diagnosis such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, weakness, infections as well as some medically stable patients Administer medications and provide skills such as wound care, work with tubes and drains, bowel, and bladder management What you will get: Department with a strong teamwork model Starting pay of \$22.38/hour + more for experience! Job Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care for patients and families under the supervision and direction of the RN or provider. The need for direct supervision (defined as immediate availability to continually coordinate, direct and inspect at first hand the practice of another) vs. general supervision (defined as regularly to coordinate, direct and inspect the practice of another) is determined based on Standards of Practice and includes complexity of patients, competency, education, and etc. The LPN applies nursing knowledge and utilizes evidence-based practice in the demonstration of the following major responsibilities. Major Responsibilities: 1. Maintains competency and practices according to the GundersenHealth systemmission and strategic plan, ANA and Nurse Practice Act. 2.
