Schedule Weekly Hours:0 Gundersen Health System is seeking individuals who have an interest in working in a laboratory setting to join our core lab team as a casual/on-call phlebotomist. Prior lab experience is preferred but not required. We will provide on-the-job training! What You\'ll Do: The Laboratory Support Technician/Phlebotomist is a leader in facilitating the flow of specimens into the lab by using specimen collection techniquesincluding venipuncture, capillary collection, and swab collection, and preparing specimens for testing this includes specimens from regional clinics and regional outreach clients. The Laboratory Support Technician responds to emergency events in the hospital and clinic settings. The Laboratory Support Technicians are skilled at collecting specimens, including blood, from all patient types including Trauma and Emergency Center admits, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Urgent Care, Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, and Neonatal ICU. The Laboratory Support Technicians are trained and competent in many other areas of the laboratory including all aspects of specimen processing which includes the use of the centrifuge, separating blood components as required for testing, micro set-up, referral lab, Point of Care, Media prep, Istats, urine dips, etc. What\'s Available: Casual/On-Call (non-benefit eligible) Every other weekend evening/night shifts (2p-10:30p) Will orientate full-time Starting pay of \$17.24 and up, based on experience, along with applicable shift differentials What You\'ll Need: High School Diploma or equivalency + training in a health-related field A copy of the applicant\'s/employee\'s diploma and/or transcript as confirmation of the education requirement must be provided at time of hire Previous phlebotomy/medical experience preferred, but not required What You\'ll Get: No prior experience is needed, will provide on-the-job training A work environment that supports you personally and professionally, and a work culture where you are valued and appreciated Support for your career growth through Professional Development Opportunities and the Career Development Center Unlimited potential at one of the leading health systems in the midwestern United States Apply today to take advantage of this great opportunity to gain lab experience while delivering Love + Medicine!
