CITY OF LA CROSSE Civil Engineer PE in LA CROSSE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of La Crosse is seeking to hire two (2) full-time Civil Engineer PEs to become essential members of the Engineering & Public Works team. The Engineering Department is responsible for design, construction, and management of various infrastructure throughout the City of La Crosse. The individual in this position will work with a dedicated team of employees whose actions improve the lives of the citizens of La Crosse daily. The purpose of the position is to perform professional civil engineering duties, such as: public works project design; surveying; preparing plans, specifications and cost estimates; administering professional services agreements; conducting and evaluating engineering studies and reports; coordinating with other agencies; providing engineering support to other city departments; and providing information to elected officials and the public at large. Work is performed under the direction of the Director of Engineering & Public Works. Annual wage for this exempt position ranges between \$84,344.00 to \$96,595.20, depending on qualifications. Positions may be underfilled as an EIT, with the expectation of obtaining a PE license. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, registered PE in Wisconsin, or ability to attain within six months. Five years civil engineering experience; or any combination of education and experience which provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge of CAD/CAE software, proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Procore is a plus.
