Job Description:

The primary role of the Business Systems Analyst is to ensure that business processes and supporting systems are working as expected and to assist users with incidents, questions, or setups in a timely manner. This position is a support position to assist line-of-business staff that performs the process work with internal application-based solutions. Business analysts must be able to straddle the IT and business domains and communicate in a support manner between each side and answer questions efficiently. This person is a hands-on worker who uses administrative systems and test and production applications systems for assisting with setup of e-commerce users and support of sales and e-commerce solutions. Use support documentation and keep support documentation up to date with our changing internally developed systems. This position deals with the more tactical, day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting, and communicating business related knowledge through answering questions of sales staff, customers, and all other employees in multiple locations. The business analyst can quickly assist users and customers through emails, support tickets, testing, and other larger customer setup type projects.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Serve as key support analyst using phone, email, ticketing systems and support documentation to drive solutions to questions and issues.

• Basic customer service acumen and responsible to drive solutions independently.

• Phone etiquette of working with users in a support way.

• Efficiently solving many questions issues and updating ticket or email to track solution.

• Collaborate with departments to identify, document, and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.

• Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business requirements for customer integration requests.

• Produce timely and high-quality work products, including support documentation, solution tickets, and trainings as requested by business.

• Answer questions and clarify requirements for identified bug issues.

• Execute system / functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements.

• Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.

• Understand the relationships, dependencies, and impact of neighboring business functions.

• Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms mostly related to sales.

• Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications for integrations requested by customers.

• Evolve into a subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments.

• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Management Information System, Computer Science or related field is preferred. GED is required.

Ability to be understand and balance the needs and desires of both business and IT

Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs

Ability to move quickly and complete many support tickets via phone and/or email.

Quick learning skills, and the ability and drive to learn sales and e-commerce systems independently.

Basic customer service experience in some form, phone and ticketing systems experience desired.
