Job Title: Carpenter Foreman
Job Description
As a Carpenter Foreman, you will work under the direct supervision of site superintendents and be regularly monitored by ownership. Your primary duties will involve constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand and power tools. You will be working on both interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings. Please note that you will not be operating any type of equipment, driving vehicles, or handling money. All job sites are uninhabited structures.
Responsibilities
Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.
Use carpenter's hand and power tools efficiently.
Work on interiors and exteriors of various buildings.
Follow building codes and standard methods.
Read and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Install materials, equipment, and products to meet specifications.
Ensure quality control by inspecting products, services, or processes.
Plan and organize jobsite material and activities.
Manage resources and time effectively to control costs.
Promote safety by adhering to relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of building codes and carpentry trade standards.
Ability to use logic and reasoning for problem-solving.
Proficiency in reading and understanding technical plans and blueprints.
Installation skills to meet material and equipment specifications.
Mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment and tools.
Planning and organizational skills for jobsite management.
Quality control inspection skills.
Resource and time management skills.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in hand tools, drywall, commercial construction, rough carpentry, metal stud, concrete, finish carpentry, framing, and trim carpentry.
General labor experience in construction environments.

You will be working as part of a general contractor team on commercial projects, including multiple buildings such as a distribution center, mechanic/truck shop, and health clinic/pharmacy. The job sites are uninhabited and require adherence to safety protocols at all times.
