VF Corporation Manager, Retail Brand Experience-TNF HK in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong

Key Purpose of the Job:

The position’s ultimate goal is to build The North Face to be the #1 Outdoor Brand in HK market. Your role is to inspire, equip and enable the next generation of “Explorers” – to build an immersive, consumer centric and service led retail experience - to spark curiosity for adventure and to ensure they understand the latest product innovations that will help them achieve their goals.

He/she will support the Sr. ROA Retail Brand Manager to ensure development and implementation of winning brand and retail brand strategies for HONG KONG.

Success in this position requires close collaboration and communication with the various business functions: internal RBE, marketing, Sales, Merchant, and well manage suppliers.

The focus of his/her scope will:

  • Implementation of seasonal retail initiative against retail marketing calendar and report back

  • Coordinate with contractors for sourcing & production of VM materials and manage the delivery

  • Release regular visual merchandising plan, work closely with retail operation team, manage timely execution and documentation, support both brand direct doors and partner doors in Hong Kong

  • Able to provide flexible VM solutions to tackle with fast changes in retail reality

  • Assist in ad hoc visual projects/marketing events for HK

  • Support seasonal retail training & trunk show set up

  • Support store elevation projects and new store opening in Hong Kong

  • Manage one Sr. VM supervisor in Hong Kong, and/or freelancers if needed; coach retail staff to ensure VM on brand standard and execution excellence

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Planning and roll out of marketing campaigns in Hong Kong, VM related guideline according to retail roadmap in partnership with RBE headquarter team and Hong Kong marketing team

  • Support Hong Kong marketing team for production and set up for events, sales meeting, pop up, seasonal in store activities, new store opening, ad hoc visual projects etc

  • Regular store visits to ensure VM standards are in line with guidance by working closely with store team, both DTC and partner doors

  • Manage on store renovation/upgrade projects and effective executions

  • Coordinate with contractors for sourcing & production visual materials (eg Window, signage, lightbox, hoarding etc), manage delivery and installation within budget and timely executions

  • Release visual merchandising plan (zoning, key outfits etc) regularly

  • Store screen content management

  • Able to provide flexible VM solutions to tackle with fast changes in retail reality

  • Consolidate reports, presentations to management team, Headquarter and omni channel

  • Managing budget control, maximize productivity with limited resources

  • Conduct training to local retail staff for all new concepts, VM technique and standard

  • Travelling when needed; willing to work overnight.

Major Challenge:

  • Over 10+ years experience in relevant field in sports/fashion/visual merchandising

  • Experience working in retail, apparel experience preferred

  • Degree in related discipline work experience preferred

  • Good communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, flexibility to work well with different cultures

  • Familiar with graphics output, knowledge in software packages including AI, photoshop is a MUST

  • Video editing skills preferred

  • Solid knowledge in Microsoft office and smartsheet

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with matrix organization effectively

  • Strong project management and planning skill

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to take direction and lead projects independently with minimal supervision

  • Willing to work over night
