We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Support, Citibank Malaysia (Internal Job Title: Sr Business Associate - C13) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Chief Administrative Officer In Business Risk and Control (IBRC) supports the country Citi Country Officer (CCO) and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and serves the critical role of helping to protect and drive the franchise level management, initiatives and efforts. The CAO IBRC role will help the CAO to oversee and/or execute franchise level initiatives and projects related to governance and oversight, risk and controls, regulatory compliance, transformation, Citi’s strategy refresh and driving business momentum at the country level.
The CAO IBRC will work in close partnership with all the business and function heads to drive the most important priorities across the franchise. The role is based in country and is a key partner to the country’s senior management teams. The CAO IBRC will report directly to the CAO.
Responsibilities:
The Chief Administrative Officer Support (CAO IBRC) is a critical partner to the CCO & CAO. This role has three broad elements:
Governance
Risk & Control accountabilities; and
Helping the CCO & CAO drive business momentum across franchise
Key deliverables include (but not limited to):
Working closely with the Control functions (including but not limited to Risk, ICRM, Finance and Legal) to enhance governance across the franchise; ensuring governance is meeting policy requirements and is driven by the first line as a means to help them run their businesses and to continuously raise the bar
Effective management of meetings, agendas, tracking actions and follow ups, embedding governance structures and processes, improving quality without necessarily increasing quantity
Taking ownership of coordinating, collating material and running the country CCC governance
Creating strong and effective partnership across the Control functions, including Risk & Control and in-business support functions, to ensure franchise level regulatory deliverables are on time, with high quality and in good order
Partnering with the country Management Teams to deliver financial objectives, prioritize and drive execution of key initiatives and ensure common purpose across the businesses and functions
Identifying revenue initiatives (e.g. New Customer Acquisition, One Citi etc.) and working with the businesses to develop strategies for the country
Providing oversight and driving franchise wide global and local initiatives through engaging partners from the first line and Global functions
Engagement with local regulator(s) on regulatory agenda and open remediation plans, coordinating franchise wide regulatory reporting or queries
Supporting Regulatory Change and Remediation Management that are franchise wide, coordinating across multiple businesses and functions
Helping lead planning and performance monitoring to ensure regulatory priorities are clear, coordinated and delivered. These include, but are not limited to local Guidelines, Regulatory Audits and Conduct and Culture
Country level MCA oversight and coordination, project management.
Management of franchise wide issues, operational loss etc.
Management of country audit and independent review, including CSC
Supporting CCO for speaking engagements, board meetings, business and external engagements, including but not limited to governmental and any public engagement as required
Supporting external Boards and Associations initiatives and efforts.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Knowledge and Experience:
This is a highly influential role interacting with senior stakeholders. To be effective at this level, the candidate will need:
Senior leadership experience
Experience of strategic planning, project management and legal entity governance
Knowledge and understanding of the Banking, Markets and Services businesses
Knowledge of Citi’s products and services and business process management
Track record of delivering results and implementing operational excellence through other partners
Recognized leader who embraces change and has proven experience of delivering strategic initiatives
Skills and competencies:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and influence
Strong analytical skills and highly organized; deft at multi-tasking in a high-volume, complex and dynamic environment
Proven ability to partner and collaborate across the firm, up to the most senior levels of the organization
Process re-engineering mindset to increase operational effectiveness
Ability to deliver at both the strategic and operational levels
Attention to detail, with proven ability to deliver quality and timely results

Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience
Comprehensive knowledge of banking operations and governance
Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with commitment to client and team member experience, goals of practice and productivity
Demonstrated strategic planning, project management, precise and superior written and verbal communication skills, and high ethical standard
Detail-oriented, goal-oriented and able to work in a team
Consistently demonstrated flexibility, resourcefulness and ability to work as a team in complex environments (e.g., ambiguous, fast-moving)
Proven organizational development, personnel management, resource development skills and able to analyze organizational impact
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
