We're hiring! We are looking for a Regulatory Change Manager to join our APAC regional team. This role can be based in any location across the Asia Pacific region.

About the role

Joining the APAC Operations function, the Regulatory Change Manager is an exciting and important role that drives regulatory and strategic execution and enhances business value through the delivery of programs and projects which align to Aon’s regulatory controls, business goals and strategies.

We're looking for individuals with a minimum of 5 years' data privacy or regulatory experience across at least two locations from the APAC region. You will be responsible for the initiation, planning and execution of various projects and programs at various stages of the project lifecycle. You should be able to work in a virtual environment and lead, control and coordinate activities across multiple countries and stakeholders across APAC.

Role responsibilities

Management of the end-to-end project management life cycle. Manage all programs and projects from ideation / business case / inception, delivery (implementation and deployment) to closure (PIR). Supporting across the lifecycle of project delivery and benefits realisation.

  • Definition – clearly define project scope, deliverables and timelines which achieve the strategic outcomes.

  • Planning – develop and manage clear program or project plans which enable the successful delivery of projects.

  • Creation of detailed project plans and definitions, including budgets, business cases, resource, and benefit realisation plans.

  • Drive the projects to completion, including re-planning and finding alternative approaches to overcome obstacles to project progress.

  • Stakeholder Management - identify and develop Trusted Advisor relationships with program and project partners and sponsors.

  • Identification and management of all key project collaborators, developing strong relationships with business leaders as a trusted advisor.

  • Building cohesive and effective cross-functional teams across multiple locations to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects.

  • Develops and maintains constructive and coordinated working collaborations.

  • Take a strategic approach to the delivery of assigned programs and projects.

Your knowledge and expertise:

  • The Regulatory Change Project Manager will work closely with the Operations, Risk and Compliance functions to ensure that projects adopt and implement the governance guidelines established for programs and projects in line with the agreed regional operations function’s expectations.

  • Reporting: ensuring timely and consistent communication to partners on progress, impacts, and changes associated with management of the portfolio to senior regional and global committees.

  • Lead Program and Project Steering Committees.

  • Provide quality assurance ensuring that initiatives are being well run and adhering to appropriate standards and good practice.

  • Identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies affecting the project as well as execution of mitigating actions to ensure the successful delivery of the project outcomes.

  • Application of consistent quality standards in own work and monitoring and oversight of activities.

Your knowledge and expertise:

  • Proven track record operating as a project manager with a risk and regulation focus, preferably within financial services.

  • Experience working to region specific regulations

  • Ability to handle and lead workstreams on large-scale complex change programmes

  • Experienced negotiator with ability to meet deadlines, embed process and encourage approvals

  • Excellent communicator

  • Entrepreneurial thinker
