Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Web Developer with strong expertise in PHP and Laravel to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Web Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, providing leadership to junior developers, and ensuring high-quality delivery of web solutions. Your technical expertise will be vital in driving the development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and helping to shape the overall architecture and functionality of our web applications.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.

• Collaborate with technical managers, designers, and other developers to create scalable and efficient web solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.

• Architect and implement robust, high-performance web applications and APIs.

• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a collaborative development environment.

• Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of web applications.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality standards.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in web development and ensure continuous improvement of development processes.

• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and set priorities with cross-functional teams.

• Develop and maintain databases, including writing optimized SQL queries and managing database migrations.

• Ensure proper documentation of code and processes for future reference and team collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience 7 years as a Web Developer with a focus on PHP and Laravel.

• Strong proficiency in PHP, including object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

• In-depth knowledge of the Laravel framework and its ecosystem (e.g., Eloquent, Blade, Artisan, etc.).

• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Angular).

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Strong understanding of databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases.

• Knowledge of API development and integrations (RESTful, GraphQL).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or others) and deployment processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit, Dusk) and automated testing.

• Experience with Vue.js, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

• Familiarity with server-side rendering and JavaScript tooling (Webpack, NPM, etc.).

• Leadership experience in a development environment and ability to lead teams.
