Accounts Executive

This role will be based in our Kuala Lumpur office, with the call centre team.

The main responsibilities of the Accounts Executive will be to handle Accounts Payable (AP) activities, ensure accuracy and timely processing, follow policies and procedures or relevant regulations.

Main duties are:

  • Perform daily transactions and functions such as accounts payable, month-end closing and all the necessary accruals and reversals;

  • Data entry and general book keeping for instance, payment issue, purchase returned issue, staff claims, and update the schedule / records and etc;

  • Maintain, prepare & monitor aging payable reports as well as follow-up for payment. Ensure accounts payable reconciliations are completed monthly. Action needs to be taken when necessary (eg: issue reminder email & etc);

  • Matching of accounting documents and other day-to-day operations of accounting functions. Ensure daily accounts function and datelines are met;

  • Manage all remittances matters;

  • To develop and maintain knowledge of the operations of the business and the activities of other departments within the business;

  • Liaise with suppliers, banks and external auditors;

  • Ensure all accounting records and documents are properly filed, labelled and kept for future references;

  • To assist in any other ad hoc projects, AR transactions and assignments as required;

  • Ensure company complies with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • LCCI / Diploma or Degree in Accounting or equivalent;

  • Min 2 years of relevant accounting experience in the relevant position;

  • Computer literate with sound knowledge in usage of accounting software;

  • Advanced Excel skills;

  • Advanced Access skills;

  • Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia. Chinese language would be an added advantage;

  • Able to communicate to Managers, Colleagues and Suppliers confidently;

  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;

  • You’ll be a team player with willingness to help others beyond their formal role;

  • Detailed and consistent follow-up, able to multi-task and willing to learn.
