Job Overview

As a Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the Medical FP&A and Global Finance team responsible for providing financial and analytical support for the Medical business. This is a global role that will interact directly with finance and senior management across all of our Product Business Units and manufacturing locations. The successful candidate must be able to achieve results through effective ability to work with systems and large data sets while maintaining good working relationships across multiple time zones and cultures. This role will be a springboard to future career progression opportunities in the Medical Team and the right candidate must be motivated continue their career progression, learn on the job and challenge themselves to step outside of their comfort zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & coordinate consolidation of global Medical financial month end actual results and quarterly forecast.

  • Ensure integrity of data in Medical consolidation systems to promote alignment and accountability to financial targets across our Operations and Product Business Unit Teams.

  • Be super user for Med BU PLNIS system ensuring its continued integration into month end and planning cycles as well as its utilization in standard reporting across our Operations and Product Business Unit Teams

  • Be a strong internal voice of Medical Finance ensuring stakeholder alignment to the requirements and deadlines of the global Medical finance function.

  • Liaise with Corporate, Global and Regional controlling teams to ensure compliance of Medical Financial results with global financial policies and controls.

  • Redesign and optimize financial reporting using lean methodologies to support functional excellence for operations and product line finance to drive a clear distinction between cost and margin accountability.

  • Key contributor in shaping the future of the global analytics strategy for Medical leveraging our expert software development teams located in global centers of excellence.

  • FP&A lead to integrate acquisitions into Medical consolidated reporting.

  • Develop strong relationships with business leaders.

  • Assist with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required.

What your background should look like:

  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and basic understanding in SAP ECC preferred

  • Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA

  • Excellent systems knowledge and ability to work with large data sets

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a global analytical role

  • Ability to interact effectively and influence decision making with all levels of the organization

  • Able to picture “simple” solutions to complex business scenarios involving multiple systems and accounting disciplines across multiple regions

  • Ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner and relate to colleagues at all levels and in all locations

  • Open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, humility and a focus on business impact

  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrated ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance preferred)
