Emerson Operations Manager (m/w/d) in KORSCHENBROICH, Germany

Are you ready to take a new role as an Operations Manager? By joining our team in Korschenbroich, Rhineland , you will become part of Sempell GmbH (Emerson Group, Final Control Business Unit), one of the world's leading valve manufacturers and suppliers of conventional, nuclear power plants and the chemical industry with control, safety and shut-off valves!

Within this role you manage the manufaturing department (machining and assembly) to define and execute operational plans for the Korschenbroich site, in compliance with Group values and policies, as well as German regulations. You are responsible for the human and material resources required to execute orders (planning, manufacturing engineering, machining-welding, assembly, logistics, etc.).

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Define the strategy for Korschenbroich's operations and develop annual plans accordingly in collaboration with direct and functional management (global and European business unit organizations)

  • Manage the efficiency of operations using different tools and approaches (Lean, TOC, flow, WIP, waiting times, etc.).

  • Design and implementation of short-, medium- and long-term operational strategies in agreement with line management prior to implementation

  • Prepare annual budgets (hours, expenses, investments, productivity), analyze and interpret operating results in relation to budget and forecasts, identify and resolve problems

  • Anticipate challenges and take measures to avoid load disruptions and impact on performance

  • Guarantee order fulfillment performance and customer satisfaction indicators (lead time, on-time delivery, right first time, etc.).

  • Management of multi-disciplinary teams involved in operations (machining-welding, end-of-process, methods, maintenance, etc.)

  • Organize, plan and coordinate team activities: set and communicate collective and individual objectives, define and implement strategies, monitor progress, assess and recognize performance, etc.

  • Carry out individual performance reviews and coordinate the conduct of reviews by their teams in the various departments

  • Support employee development: identify/approve skills development plans: training, mentoring, projects/missions, etc.

  • Ensuring the performance of the departments under their responsibility and the achievement of operational targets by the various services within their remit

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5 years' higher education in industrial or mechanical engineering, or equivalent professional experience

  • Steering working groups, setting up subject-specific teams

  • Design and produce monitoring and analysis tools (dashboards, graphs, etc.)

  • Good product knowledge

  • Technical industrial culture (knowledge of mechanics, production management)

  • Understanding the different techniques used on the site

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • English: complete professional competence

  • Office automation: advanced level: analyze data, create presentation media.

  • Advanced knowledge of production management systems (ERP) and related systems (FLM...)
