Patient care Providing direct care to patients with kidney disease or related conditions who are undergoing dialysis treatments.This includes assessing the patient's physical and psychological needs, and creating a care plan.

Education Teaching patients about their disease, treatment, and how to take responsibility for their health.

Treatment management Overseeing the dialysis treatment from start to finish, including priming the dialyser and bloodlines.This also includes administering the correct medications and evaluating the patient's response to treatment.

Communication Relaying updates or concerns between patients and doctors, and helping patients follow up with their transplant centers.

Documentation Recording the patient's vital signs and medical details, and reviewing their lab work and home medications.

Equipment Working with dialysis technicians to ensure the correct setup and operation of dialysis equipment and devices.

Sterility Ensuring treatment areas are maintained in a sterile manner.

Support Providing emotional support to patients, and supporting the entire care team.
