Oracle Software Developer 4 in KOLKATA, India

Job Description

  • Around 10 years of software development experience with 4+ years of hands-on experience in architecting enterprise solutions using Full Stack Development with a primary focus on Analytics and Cloud-based Big Data Solutions and others relevant to low-code/no-code platforms.

  • Primary technical skill should include deep dive knowledge and working experience in designing Data Processing pipelines with Java, Apache Spark, Distributed architecture, Crunch, Storm, Spark, Kafka and Big Data Processing. Knowledge in Java, Kafka and Big Data Processing would be an added advantage.

  • Data engineering and BI tools knowledge. Hands-on experience with tools for building data pipelines. The skillset may include at least one of the data warehouses like Snowflake, Vertica, ADW, or equivalent; ETL tools like AWS Glue, Data Integration Services or others; Business Intelligence tools like Tableau (https://www.altexsoft.com/blog/tableau-bi-tools-overview/) , OAC, or equivalent.

  • Design and build distributed, scalable, fault tolerant software components for Oracle Health Analytics platform on top of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Real-time exposure and knowledge he/she is having in terms of system availability, and scalability of distributed systems (primarily Cloud). Also, experience in practicing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, and deployments on multi-zone and multi-countries would be highly preferred

  • Experience at building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols

  • Troubleshoot issues observed through internal monitoring or reported by customers and work on both corrective and preventive solutions.

  • Exposure to OCI components like Golden Gate or Data Integration Service would be an added advantage (any one)

  • Balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for broad software design, code quality and architecture decisions

  • Able to understand broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the Health Data Intelligence platform and have a good sense of cloud infrastructure.

  • Lead and be engaged in architecture discussions, design sessions and code reviews for functional correctness, architectural maintainability, and performance

  • Own and evolve Data Integration strategy in areas that include, but are not limited to technical architecture and solutions, standards, principles, processes and methodologies, quality

  • Investigate and drive analysis for innovations and technologies

  • Should have experience developing and maintaining high-scale front-end and/or back-end services in a standard SOA.

  • Deep understanding of operational excellence and know-how to how to improve the SLI/SLO for a distributed ecosystem.

  • Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments.

  • Participate in on-call for the services within the team and resolve issues, as and when they arise.
