Job Description

Oracle’s Health and Application Infrastructure team is building new healthcare services that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best-in-class services which will help reduce the overall healthcare spend. Design, develop and build scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform.

Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle Cerner platform team, will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an ambitious spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a best-in-class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

What?

We are seeking hands-on Engineers that share our passion and excitement of operating distributed systems at hyper scale using cloud native best practices. You will have part in the disruption of the health care industry and will help deliver better patient care.

As a engineer in our team, you’ll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other specialists. As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

  • 5+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems

  • Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural standard methodologies

  • Proven track record to write phenomenal code in Java and SpringBoot.

  • Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

  • Extraordinary development exposure to cloud preferably OCI.

  • Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and upbeat environments

  • Ability to optimally communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects

  • Understand dependencies and how individual contributions impact larger vision picture

  • Research and contribute to software development standard methodologies that maintain, protect and improve architectural integrity

  • Lead high visibility projects or initiatives

  • Provide direction in design sessions and code reviews on functional correctness, architectural maintainability and performance

  • Trouble-shoot problems or issues of wide ranging scope and complexity through in-depth analysis of variable data sets and factors

Preferred Qualifications

  • BE/BTech/MCA with relevant work experience
