Your day at NTT DATA

The Security Managed Services Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.

Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions and is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, aware of client's high level and low-level security architecture and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.

This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices and applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.

The Security Managed Services Engineer (L3) may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

The candidate should ensure that the Resource is certified

as CEH, within 12 months of Purchase Order.

The candidate should ensure that the Resource is certified

at least in ITIL Foundation within 6 months of Purchase

Order

Minimum 7 years of experience in handling

security related products & services out of which 4

years’ experience should be in SIEM, UEBA & SOAR,

Firewall, IPS, EDR, LBR, WAF/PAM/AD/VM tools in a

senior role.

Should be a certified RHEL Administrator. In case

certification is not available, the Bidder should ensure certification within 6 months of onboarding.

Administration of SIEM environment (like

deployment of solution, user management, upgrades and patch deployment, addition or deletion of log sources, configuration management, change management, report management, manage

backup, restoration and recovery etc)

Construction of SIEM content required to produce

Content Outputs (e.g., filters, active lists, correlation rules, reports, report templates, queries, trends, variables)

Collects/updates threat intelligence feeds from

various sources/platform and Integration of

customized threat intelligence content feeds

provided by the Threat Intelligence Platform &

Analytics service

Should analyze incidents independently & identify

root cause and act for containment and remediation.

Coordinates with the different departments for

incident analysis, containment and remediation

Provides engineering analysis and architectural

design of technical solutions.

Proficiency in incident response procedures,

methodologies, and industry-recognized

frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, ITIL/ITSM).

Device integration, Creation of Correlation rules

Sound analytical and troubleshooting skills

Good Team Management and coordination skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to

identify and mitigate advanced security threats

effectively.

Strong leadership and communication skills to

collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive management.

Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced

24/7 SOC environment, including on-call and shift

rotations.

The candidate should ensure that the Resource is certified

on at least one Global Standard like ISO/IEC

27001:2013 LA and similar and, at least one major

Security Product from an OEM, each year of the

project.
