Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join our Cancer Center in Kokomo. This role involves supporting current oncology trials, primarily in Phase 2-3, and a new grant starting in December related to Bone Marrow Transplant and cellular therapy. The position requires performing nursing assessments, coordinating responsibilities, consenting patients, documentation, and lab processing. The role is primarily patient-facing with some administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Support current oncology trials, mainly Phase 2-3.

• Assist with an RO1 grant related to Bone Marrow Transplant and cellular therapy.

• Conduct nursing assessments and coordinate responsibilities.

• Consenting patients for trials.

• Document and process labs.

• Work in inpatient research settings, including 6 inpatient rooms.

• Support both inpatient and outpatient oncology research as needed.

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience in oncology.

• Experience with oncology, bone marrow transplant, and stem cell therapy.

• Must obtain Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) certification within 3 years of hire.

• Knowledge in clinical research, clinical trials, and regulatory requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and be trained in research.

• Experience with bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy.

• Chemo certification is a plus.

Work Environment

The schedule will vary based on patient needs and could be 3-12 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts, with no patient appointments on Fridays. There is some flexibility to work from home on Fridays. You will be working with one other research nurse at this location and will be the only research staff at this site, with support from the research team in North Indianapolis. The role involves working in both the research building/office and the outpatient clinic in the hospital, which are located next to each other.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00
