Why You Will Love this Job: The Director, Category Small Engines \< 600KW, directs the Power Systems America\'s activities of the Industrial Products Marketing and Marketing Service Organization consisting of product management, market research, product promotion, pricing, and technical publications. This position directs the development and implementation strategies related to Industrial Products of the Business so that the growth and profit objectives of the strategic plan are successful by preparing and coordinating annual and long-range marketing programs. Specific Responsibilities: * Manage the program management effort to introduce new or improved products, perform cost analysis, and provide P & L projections to justify recommendations for all PowerSystems worldwide. * Conduct competitive analysis studies and prepare product and marketing information that supports the strategic plan of the Generator Division. * Directs the identification and development of new and/or improved products, which satisfy market needs and are justified by return on investment. * Directs the activities of marketing research involved in identification of market potential, distribution trends, research, analysis of sales records, and problem identification which are in support of and at the request of Product Managers * Communicate with customers to determine new market potential and pricing necessary to expand market penetration. * Coordinate the budget for trade shows, conventions, and meetings to match the marketing strategies of KPS NA. * Develop advertising and promotional programs designed to support and penetrate existing markets as well as new product introductions. * Direct and plan training programs, which ensure that all customers have a comprehensive working knowledge of Kohler products. * Maintain continual liaison with Corporate Advertising and Promotional Services in the preparation of advertising campaigns and promotional programs to ensure they are consistent with the Marketing Plan.
