Associate Channel Manager, Trade

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI (Tues - Weds - Thurs Onsite at Kohler Main Campus)

Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Marketing-Trade, the Associate Channel Manager, Trade, is responsible for driving indirect customer partnerships, incentives, and increasing trade preference for the Kohler brand through industry relationships and affinity programs (Kohler Partner Network, Builder, Remodeler, Trade contractor programs). This involves managing the development, coordination, and implementation of marketing plans, strategies, promotions, and programs for the Trade channel. This role has P&L accountability, including budget ownership. This individual will also lead and drive engagement with Kohler cross-functional partners in Product Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Sales, Kohler.com, and Customer Service.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, administration, and management of Kohler Partner Network for Builders & Kohler Partner Network for Remodelers.

  • Work with Sales leadership to define growth targets for program enrollment, establishment of focus markets, and share of wallet objectives with existing member accounts.

  • Define and set financial objectives around program expansion and profitability; work with Accounting & Finance to set and monitor program performance with the goal of achieving above market growth.

  • Evaluate direct sales opportunities for KPN-Builder/Remodeler members and the trade base at large.

  • Oversee rebate claim submissions and processing on a half-yearly & annual basis.

  • Manage audit process to ensure builder compliance (KPN-Builder).

  • Work with third-party vendors to ensure customer product display requirements are met.

  • Coordinate with Category Strategy & Supply Chain as necessary.

  • Own strategic growth and scaling of Kohler & Sterling contractor incentive program.

  • Redesign existing program to support exponential growth of builder, multifamily, and projects business.

  • With underpenetrated accounts, focused on faucet & fixture bundle expansion and SOW increase.

  • With mature fixtures accounts, focused on driving faucet growth and conversion opportunities.

  • Coordinate with Sales leadership to ensure that contractor incentive programs participants are aligned with our growth objectives & business priorities.Add or eliminate program participants as necessary to ensure maximum program ROI and growth rates significantly above market.

  • Oversee rebate submissions process by coordinating internal resources:

  • Ensure timely claims submission & payment.

  • Participant submittal with adherence to program deadlines.

  • 100% Response rate to T&C acceptance annually.

  • Adherence to guidelines and requested format for claims submissions.

  • Regular collaboration with claims management partner to ensure maximization of vendor’s capabilities.

  • Establish process for sharing program sales data with marketing and sales leadership to track program effectiveness and increase share with participating accounts.

  • Work with marketing operations to ensure consistent output from Beacon of assets to support trade channel initiatives (Builder/Remodeler/Contractor-related content on Kohler.com, email, sales tools, etc.).

  • Develop trade marketing training, collateral, manage KPN builder & contractor display needs as necessary.

  • Manage corporate relationships with various trade associations (NARI, PHCC, Remodeler’s Advantage, etc.). Determine Kohler’s level of participation and evaluate the association’s strategic value to Kohler.

Skills/Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or another related subject.

  • 3 to 5 years of prior experience in sales, product and/or channel marketing with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results.

  • Keen analytical mind; strong on planning, detail and accuracy; and a demonstrably creative thinker.

Preferred

  • MBA/MS degree.

Travel

  • In-field travel including customer visits, trade shows, association events, vendor partners, and manufacturing plants, as needed, approximately 30% annually (domestic).

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
