Core Responsibilities .
The Edge team is central to what we do in cloud. The team provides self-service & automated access to edge computing, while ensuring an appropriate set of guardrails are in place.
Come and work alongside our Lead Engineer and Engineering Director to bring this exciting new project to life. Be an integral part in building the core Edge capabilities the company needs to ensure a secure and cost-efficient cloud experience for all our Manufacturing sites.
Contribute to the development and validation of the edge platform.
Ensure the quality of the edge platform delivery.
Stay up to date with the newest technologies and trends in edge computing.
Help ensure that the edge platform is scalable, reliable, and secure.
Participate in the on-call rotation together with the team.
Play your part in our team succeeding.
The Edge team is part of the larger Developer Experience and Cloud Foundation area, providing foundational capabilities for our product teams using or migrating to cloud. We are supporting hundreds of LEGO engineers, and we are planning to expand. We are the guides in Cloud & Containerization in the organization. That is why we are the ones that help product teams adopt Cloud and assist them with creation of a DevSecOps experience.
The landing zone spans multiple clouds and Edge and runs some of our most critical workloads. We are seeing growth of the platform and are looking to shift gears to deliver the best multi-cloud experience for our brave engineering colleagues.
The team is based in the new LEGO Digital Office in Copenhagen. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, flexible, and we like to have fun along the way!
Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for a preferred candidate with some experience in software engineering and platform development. Experience with On-premises compute, also covering solid grasp of Edge and Cloud Native development patterns. Experience in agile ways of working is encouraged.
Maybe your technology toolbox contains some of these: Postgres, RabbitMQ, Valkey/Redis, Python, Java or Go.
To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:
A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with current compute platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker
Shown eagerness to continuous learning through your previous experiences.
Dare to speak up and learn from the failures.
A passion for building the future and a desire to be part of a team that’s crafting the future of edge computing.
Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.
