Job Title: NCCCO Certified Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NCCCO Certified Heavy Equipment Operator with a strong commitment to safety standards and protocols. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation, including crane operation and underground utilities. The role involves performing routine maintenance checks and ensuring machinery is in good working order.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, dozers, backhoes, and front-end loaders.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure it is in good working order.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols at all times.

  • Read and interpret blueprints for construction projects.

  • Handle underground utilities safely and efficiently.

  • Conduct crane inspections and ensure proper operation of overhead cranes.

  • Follow construction safety guidelines and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • NCCCO Crane Operator Certification

  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation

  • Experience with cranes, crane operation, and crane inspection

  • Proficiency in operating excavators, dozers, backhoes, and front-end loaders

  • Strong understanding of underground utilities

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Knowledge of construction safety and stormwater management

  • CDL Class A license

  • Experience with equipment operation in construction environments

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic and supportive environment where safety is the top priority. You will operate state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. The position involves working outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, and requires adherence to construction safety guidelines. Dress code is appropriate for construction sites, including personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $39.00
