Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the service industry, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, 37920, United States. As a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial functions, maintaining financial data accuracy, and improving business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing the preparation of journal entries

• Taking charge of the month-end close process

• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of account reconciliations

• Preparing financial statements while adhering to reporting deadlines

• Collaborating with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process

• Liaising with banks regarding loan covenants and lines of credit

• Supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Implementing process improvements in the accounting department

• Managing special projects as assigned

• Utilizing accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Controller

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Demonstrated ability in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Budgeting - Forecasting

• Skilled in Business Process Improvement

• Competency in using QuickBooks

• Ability to manage Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation

• Proven ability in Audit Prep

• Understanding of Banking Compliance

• Familiarity with Loan Agreements

• Strong relations with Banks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
