DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring and compliance initiatives within a designated geographic area, which includes conducting thorough reviews and enforcing applicable regulations. Your duties will involve the administration of various legislative frameworks, including the Oil and Gas Act, Conservation Law, and Coal and Gas Resource Coordination Law, along with adherence to state regulations and policies.
You will perform routine inspections of oil and gas wells and associated facilities, utilizing electronic equipment provided by the Department to accurately document and record each inspection. This will involve examining wells located in both coal and non-coal regions, as well as conservation wells, observation wells, and gas storage reservoirs. The inspections will span the drilling, production, modification, and plugging phases, with an emphasis on ensuring compliance throughout these processes. To facilitate the inspection process, you may need to reference relevant documents and resources, including permits, maps, well logs, and handbooks as necessary. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Knox. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,035.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of technical experience in well design, drilling, completion, production, plugging, or underground storage operations in the oil or natural gas industry; or An associate's degree in Petroleum Technology or closely related field, and one year of technical experience in well design, drilling, completion, production, plugging, or underground storage operations in the oil or natural gas industry.
Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a valid PA Class C non-commercial driver's license. Other Requirements:
