WorkSource Oregon Bilingual (Spanish) Community Resource Specialist in Klamath Falls, Oregon

Required: * High School Diploma or equivalent * 1 years outreach experience * 2 years of customer service experience * Pass a Spanish speaking oral, written and reading assessment * Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office * Valid driver\'s license, proof of current auto insurance, and access to reliable transportation * Pre-employment background check Summary: Supports the team by providing accurate information and referral to community members. Their skills and professionalism enhance the efficiency and accuracy of interactions with community partners, community members and program participants. Duties Include: * Establish and maintain effective working relationships * Effective use of writing, reporting, Microsoft Office, time management, presentation, and verbal communication skills * Communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Exercise independent judgment and decision making under the direction of the Team Lead in development and of implementation of all work-related products, outputs and in tracking outcomes * Work in two different office locations * Work independently and as part of a team * Know the different programs to assist participants in applying for or requesting information about the programs * Negotiate different interests among stakeholders * Engage stakeholders by building new relationships and maintaining existing relationships * Schedule meetings, develop agendas and take notes * Effectively facilitate meetings with stakeholders, community partners, community members and/or the team * Coordinate current stakeholder outreach activities * Leverage current outreach activities to maximize community awareness of available supportive services * Assess and communicate benefits using Plain Language tenets in English and in Spanish * Provide routine information about services via telephone, email or in person * Assist with special projects, training and events * Provide information and referrals via telephone, email or in person * Assist in the HUB as needed or requested * Attend team meetings and events as required * Take direction and/or instruction from multiple team leads * Effectively and accurately prioritize multiple projects and duties Language skill requirement or preference: Work with monolingual Spanish-speaking and English as a second language clients
