Job Title: FPGA EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer with extensive experience in Xilinx FPGA programming using Verilog. This role involves working on video conversion tasks, including 4K video down converting or up converting, and managing HDR video and audio processing. You will be handling the integration of video and audio in products such as aircraft armrest USB video players, contributing to the AVDS product.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Xilinx FPGA programming in Verilog.

• Perform video conversion tasks, including 4K video down converting or up converting and HDR processing.

• Handle all aspects of 4K video and audio integration.

• Manage video input and output processes.

• Read and understand schematics and hardware layout.

• Work on existing development projects with potential future opportunities for new development.

Essential Skills

• 5-10 years of FPGA experience, ideally around 8 years.

• Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL.

• Experience with Xilinx FPGA.

• Knowledge of video and audio processing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with video and audio technologies.

• Ability to read schematics and understand hardware layout.

Work Environment

This is a small company with around 20 employees, including 15 in Engineering and 5 in Operations. The environment is flexible with hours and offers good vacation, profit sharing through 401K, and yearly bonuses on top of the salary. The engineering team consists of 14 members, providing opportunities to wear multiple hats and see products through to market. The company supports professional development and does not limit growth.
