Successful applicants will demonstrate individual creativity in addressing challenges and opportunities while working within a supportive team to develop industry-leading solutions for the medium- and heavy-duty truck industry Job Summary PACCAR's Global Electronics department, which serves both Kenworth, Peterbilt, and other global class leading brands, has an opening for an Electronics Hardware Integration Engineer. This role is responsible for vehicle or powertrain electrical/electronic component subsystem design, and electrical integration into heavy and medium-duty vehicles. Job Functions / Responsibilities Lead design, integration, and release of electrical and electronic components/systems for commercial truck vehicles. Manage design partners relationships and monitor closely for quality, cost, and delivery. Provide technical expertise to ensure the most suitable design technology to deliver current and future product features. Own project management processes to maintain schedule, budget, scope, and functionality. Engaging in clear and precise communication with internal and external stakeholders. Complete engineering change notice documentation. Work with and lead heavy truck OEM engineering supplier relationships with tier 1 and 2 suppliers. Plan and track validation of components. Support product launch at truck assembly plants as needed and resolve field issues as identified. Ensure industry-leading quality and reliability are met/maintained/exceeded on all components. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other professionals to ensure quality heavy-duty truck electrical designs. Demonstrated teamwork, mentoring, collaboration, and cross-functional communication skills. Up to 15% travel. Qualifications&Skills Required B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree required. 7+ years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle electrical systems components, electronic controls, switches, driver input devices, and/or HMI. Experience with tier 1 supplier management, selection, hardware development, validation, and release. Strong technical project & program management, planning, tracking, and reporting skills.
