Job Title: Aircraft Structural Assembler

• Per Diem Pay (100+ Miles): $37.75 - $40.75 (Taxable is $15.50 - $18.50 / hour; Per Diem is $178.00 per day for 5 days)

Job Description

• Aircraft Assemblers will be responsible for large structural assembly for the Airbus 350 XWB, specifically the fuselage section.

• Will be responsible for drilling and countersinking composite and metal parts, reading metric blueprints, and following work instructions.

• Candidates must be familiar with aircraft parts and structural assembly and capable of passing a plate test.

• Flexibility to work any shift is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform large structural assembly for the Airbus 350 XWB fuselage section

• Drill and countersink composite and metal parts

• Read metric blueprints and follow work instructions

• Pass a plate test during orientation

Essential Skills

• Experience in sheet metal work

• Proficiency in aircraft assembly, composite, and riveting

• Ability to countersink and use Hi-lok fasteners

• Blueprint reading skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Airbus or Boeing is preferred

• Military structures experience is acceptable

Work Environment

Shifts are available as follows: 1st shift (7am – 3:30pm), 2nd shift (3pm – 11:30pm), and 3rd shift (11pm – 7:30am). You will work 8 hours a day and 7 days a week, with a rotation of 2 weekends on and 1 weekend off. The aerospace manufacturing environment is very clean, with standing and working on lifts all day. Teams consist of 7-12 people, promoting a good work culture despite the repetitive nature and long hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Kinston, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.75
