Job Description:
At Ascentium Capital, the Asset Manager is responsible for the management of an assigned portfolio of diverse problem commercial lease and/or loan relationships with the goal of rehabilitation and final resolution through work-out, restructure, and successful negotiation; however, in some cases exit through liquidation and/or litigation as a means to minimizing financial loss (maximizing recovery) net to the company.

Primary Responsibilities
Develops and executes work-out plans to ensure the timely resolution of accounts while minimizing losses and controlling expenses
Utilizes modifications and restructures when appropriate, including but not limited to note modifications, collateral modifications, or borrower/guarantor modifications, to secure a workable resolution to the problem account
Assists in monitoring collection procedures for charged off leases/loans to assure the timeliness of the disposal of repossessed and foreclosed collateral
Recommends to management the upgrading/downgrading of problem leases/loans and the classification of problem leases/loans, including but not limited to non-accrual and accrual status changes and charge off recommendations
Develops and provides to management summaries and detailed reports outlining the status of the problem lease/loan portfolio with respect to delinquency, asset recovery, and trends
Engages with debtors, debtor counsel, outside counsel, and management to gain cooperation in the implementation or corrective account strategies
Analyzes the financial condition of a borrower through financial statements analysis and uses such analysis to make informed decisions in the administration, turn-around, or exit of complex credit relationships
Analyzes any collateral, including ORE, and use analysis to assess potential loss
Establishes repossession, liquidation/foreclosure techniques on problem leases/loans
Maintains professional working relationships and aids customers and employees
Interacts with other departments within the company in a manner that constructively creates positive change
Conducts timely and informative personnel reviews of all direct reports
Works closely with management to develop and implement new technological enhancements to increase efficiencies
Ensures proper approvals and authorities have been obtained in final decision making
Participates in budget preparation and strategic planning as needed
Remains informed of laws, regulations, and rulings governing leasing and lending
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
Three (3) years of experience in lending/credit, bankruptcy, late state collection, recovery, or work-out experience in a commercial lending environment
Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a business-related field
Skills and Competencies
Ability to efficiently calculate figures such as payments, interest rates, residuals, and taxes
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in applicable computer applications such as T-Value
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
