Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains assigned aircraft in accordance with customer, manufacturer and company procedures.
Responsible for inspection, removal and installation of aircraft armament systems.
Performs aircraft and equipment scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance and repairs.
Performs aircraft and equipment corrosion control prevention and treatment procedures.
Operates Ground Support Equipment (GSE), flight line vehicles and other support equipment as required.
Annotates maintenance and supply data into NALCOMIS Work Orders and/or Maintenance Action Forms (MAF).
Order aircraft/weapons systems explosive devices. Be familiar with Cartridge Actuated Device/Propellant Actuated Device (CAD/PAD).
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) awareness/prevention and safety at all times.
Required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
Work with minimal supervision or guidance.
Posses in-depth knowledge of aircraft weapons systems technical orders/job guides/publications—read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications.
Works with job required hazardous materials.
Maintains and/or completes required records and applicable maintenance forms.
Deals with the customer and works with personnel at all levels in a courteous, professional and effective manner.
Performs off-site service on assigned detachments, work overtime, irregular shifts, weekends, holidays or shifts that include Saturdays/Sundays as part of the workweek.
Responsible for adhering to all company policies and maintenance instructions.
Posses an in-depth working knowledge of: aircraft safety directives, (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations, aircraft common and special tools and test equipment, basic computer systems- NALCOMIS experience preferred.
All other duties as assigned
Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time
Qualification Standards:
Must have three (3) years experience within the last nine (9) years in aircraft weapons systems maintenance.
Must have satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces a military or civilian equivalent weapons systems course of instruction and be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
Must be experienced and qualified in the rigging of explosive linkages/devises and fittings applicable to aircraft weapons systems and be able to perform flow checks on weapons systems.
Must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Must be able to receive and pass an Ordnance Physical.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must have a current civilian driver's license, and be able to obtain and maintain a Government flight line driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a level or security clearance required by the Company and/or Government.
Physical Demands:
This classification is usually accomplished in a maintenance hanger/outdoor flight line-like environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with on equipment/aircraft activities. Full mobility of all extremities for tasks. Typical physical activities include climbing, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. Must be able to regularly lift 35 pounds unassisted. May occasionally be required to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. Must be able to pass ordnance physical.
Work Environment:
The diversity of work conditions may range between an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards may prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and electrical shock hazards.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Must have the following within 6 months of start date, unless otherwise stated:
Aviation Ordnance Course or ‘A’ school equivalent.
Formal/Specialized Training or Equivalent
Hazardous Waste Communication Training
FOD and Tool Control Procedures (TCP) Awareness Trained

OPNAV INST 4790.2 Program Awareness
ISO 9001/AS9100 Program Awareness

Valid State Drivers License- upon hire
