Provides primary nursing support to the physician and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient’s condition. Provides support to the business operations through an understanding of business functions.

Requires knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice; organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care; medical equipment and instruments used to provide patient care; and common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Requires skill to identify problems and recommend solutions; prepares and maintains accurate records; develop and maintains quality assurance; and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with physicians, patients, office staff, and the public.
