Job Description

BAE Systems, a global leader in the defense industry, is seeking a full-time Senior Financial Analyst based in either Radford, VA or Kingsport, TN.

You will support the Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business s Modernization portfolio, which includes a variety of construction, sustainment, and retrofit projects.

Serving as a member of the finance organization under oversight of the Project Controls Manager, you will support the group and management in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, and complexity.

Responsibilities:

• You will participate in the development, creation, maintenance, and tracking of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB).

• You will monitor and reconcile all costs against the project budgets, track cost and schedule performance, conduct estimate at complete (EAC) forecasts, and provide insights into variances that may arise and implement necessary corrective actions.

• You will be the main finance interface with program management/operations and will support the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, and complexity.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Associates Degree with 4 years experience or equivalent experience

• Experience in financial focused project controls

• Experience performing financial analysis, variance analysis, data analysis, and forecasting

• Proficient utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools

• Advanced proficiency working with MS Excel

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Graduate Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting

• Expertise utilizing Power BI and/or another data analysis tool

• Experience in defense/government contracting

• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

• Experience with Integrated Program Manager (IPM)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
