Naval Education and Training Command ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT in Kings Bay, Georgia

Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT of TRITRAFAC KINGSBAY. Salary Range for GS-06: $44,117.00 - $57,354.00 Salary Range for GS-07: $49,025.00 - $63,733.00 Responsibilities You will have knowledge of software and hardware to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, requiring the use of advanced software functions to meet the needs of complex formatting. You will have knowledge of various Military Sites in order to process transfers, gains, personnel transactions, and pay actions for military personnel. You will have knowledge of specialized and common organizational, administrative, and technical terminology to conduct the work. You will have skill in preparation of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other documents ensuring proper grammar, format and attachments per the Navy Correspondence Manual. You will have knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures for preparing documents, records and reports in compliance with Department of the Navy (DON) guidelines. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically both in writing and verbally to obtain and provide information related to the organizational, administrative and procedural matters of the command. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer software programs and/or office automation applications to manage information and produce correspondence, reports, graphs and charts; 2) Reviewing correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other documents to ensure proper grammar, spelling, format and attachments; 3) Interpreting an organization's policies and procedures to provide administrative support to staff and students; and 4) Using an automated system to manage various administrative support tasks (e.g. pay, leave, transfers requests, and/or personnel actions). GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing correspondence to ensure correct spelling, format and procedural requirements; 2) Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, and responding to routine queries; and 3) Utilizing various automated systems and software programs to create, edit, re-format, and revise documents with graphics, tables, and/or spreadsheets. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
