Lube Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards, contributing to the safety and comfort of our customers.
Essential Functions
- Provides excellent customer service for all customers whether external or internal, specifically offering dependable vehicle service.
- Performs lube oil and filter services, tire rotations, etc. in a professional manner.
- Performs vehicle inspections as required.
- Determines management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.
- Maintains equipment in good working condition and maintains the work area in a safe, clean and organized manner.
- Receives service assignments from the service writer or service manager.
- Has the lube work finished within the allotted time. Set goals, develop skills and constantly increase efficiency skill level.
- Maintains a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.
- Makes sure the proper paperwork is completed and filed after every job completion.
- Keep technical qualifications current by finishing any required training programs.
- Takes care that the vehicle is cleaner when the job is completed than when the customer dropped it off.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
- Shows up when scheduled to work, on time, ready and able to perform essential job functions.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
- Performs other tasks as directed.
Required Education and Experience
- Automotive experience helpful, but not required.Paid training will be provided.
- Prior experience with oil changes and tire rotations preferred.
- Three years licensed driving experience and good driving record preferred.
- High School or GED preferred
