Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Utility Relocation Technician in King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this role, your main responsibility will be to offer technical guidance for both department-sponsored and locally sponsored projects. You will be providing assistance and support for projects that range from moderate to higher levels of complexity. Additionally, you will be in direct communication with utility companies throughout the entire process, from utility clearance to letting, awarding, and construction. Your role will involve ensuring that all necessary utility relocations are completed and that project milestones are met. Furthermore, you will be attending project scoping meetings as assigned, where you will provide valuable input and insights regarding potential utility impacts and the level of effort required to coordinate utilities. Lastly, you will be involved in assisting project managers with subsurface utility engineering (SUE) evaluation and determining the need for further utility investigation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as an Engineering Technician performing utility relocation work; or One year of technical utility relocation work experience and an associate's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or in a design and drafting technology; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience performing utility relocation work. Other Requirements: This particular position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
