DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this position, you will have the responsibility of overseeing a team of construction inspectors in Engineering District 6-0. Your main duties will involve performing technical tasks related to the inspection of transportation construction projects and ensuring that all work adheres to approved construction plans, standards, specifications, and contract documents. You will also serve as the inspector-in-charge for a highway construction project with a limited range of work operations or as an assistant on a larger project by supervising assigned operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising the inspection of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with contract requirements and established standards and specifications.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

One year of experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor; or Four years of experience in construction inspection, including one year in a supervisory capacity; and graduation from high school or equivalent certification of formal training. Completion of a training program in construction inspection sanctioned by the using agency may be substituted for high school graduation. An Associate Degree in an engineering or closely related technology may be substituted for one year of the required non-supervisory experience; or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
