Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Technicians to support an engineering services contract in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing equipment for off-site test events, installing test equipment during integration test events, and shipping equipment back from test events.

  • Execute tests using test equipment such as Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Function Generators and Power Supplies.

  • Collect and analyze test data/results, document results, outcomes and write reports. Provide analysis of results to Engineering and R&D team members.

  • Assist in maintaining inventory of the equipment available, support transport of equipment to/from testing sites. Handling logistics of determined equipment.

  • Analyze equipment failures and provide solutions and recommendations on areas of improvement.

  • Execute technical judgement and decision making.

  • Procure equipment and supplies for labs and engineering hardware.

  • Maintain detailed and up to date test data in laboratory note book and active test logs.

  • Support the engineers at test events CONUS/OCONUS, as needed.

  • Assist with design and documentation in support of test events.

Required

  • Experience with electronic test equipment and testing protocols.

  • Experience must include developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, inspection, maintenance, and assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data.

  • Ability to handle manual labor (carrying heavy equipment) and tolerate shipboard work environments.

  • Experience with Hardware Assembly, Testing and Repair to include soldering and Cable Repair.

  • Ability to travel (25-40%), with some trips up to 3 weeks in length.

  • Experience with shipboard testing is a plus.

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Desired

  • Five plus (5+) years of professional experience, including specialized in DOD or related programs.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in test and evaluation of DoD equipment.

  • Familiarity with Logistics support.

  • Active Secret level security clearance.
