Koniag Operations Services (KOS), a Koniag Government Services company, is hiring an experienced Configuration Manager to support KOS and our government customer. This position will be located at our customer’s site in Kettering, OH.

KOS is seeking a Configuration Manager to assist with the development and sustainment of systems for the AFLCMC/GB4 program. The selected candidate will participate in software development activities in an Agile environment to develop, maintain, and secure applications operating in the cloud environment. Candidate must have a positive attitude and the flexibility to adjust to US Air Force and DoD IT mandates pertaining to the development and security safeguards of application systems.
Responsibilities:
Manages requirements configuration, configuration policies, and configuration artifacts for IT mission systems.
Develops and maintains configuration management artifacts.
Advises teams on configuration management activities.
Serves on the Functional Review Board (FRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) working groups.
Prepares, updates, and coordinates required interface control documents.
Interact with users, sustainment contractors, FRBs, CCBs, and Test Review Boards to provide recommended viable solutions and permanent fixes to deficiency reports.
Evaluates all aspects of the systems but not limited to user access/interface, performance, configuration, change, scalability, and other functions required to support system access.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Holds a successfully completed in-scope NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation or is eligible for an interim public trust while undergoing a new NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation.
Three (3) years of functional experience
Three (3) years of technical experience
Must have formal CM training to perform CM responsibilities IAW annual BES Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) guidelines AFMCI-63-1201
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Working knowledge of AF logistics systems and AF cataloging systems
Agile trained and/or certifications
Working knowledge of software life cycle management
Physical and/or Mental Qualifications, if applicable*:
- Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
