This is a part-time position located at theKentwood Welcome Center in Kentwood, LA.
Flexible Dates; must be available for weekend and some holidays
This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period. Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.
No Civil Service test scoreis required in order to be considered for this vacancy.

Welcomes tourists and determines their travel interests and needs.
Provides information on localities, museums, parks, events, and other attractions to visit.
Assists travelers with hotel reservations and weather reports from the Internet.
Provides directions, shortest routes or scenic routes.
Distributes brochures and maps.
Answers questions from visitors, by phone and mail, regarding the state, its history and its culture.
Conducts research by reading industry publications, visiting travel websites and consulting with others to keep abreast of upcoming events and to broaden knowledge of the state.
Participates in educational study tours.
Keeps daily records or files; stocks brochure racks; orders supplies/brochures; performs other clerical duties.
Attains CPR certification and becomes re-certified annually.
