Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in our Protective Coatings facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Visually inspect and test machinery to detect malfunctions, discussing variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers.
Dismantle defective machines and equipment, installing new or repaired parts.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
Install and repair electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
Operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment.
Clean, organize, and maintain work area as prescribed by supervision and 5S standards.
Handle hazardous waste duties including the transfer of blast media, changing out filters, and proper storage and disposal of Universal Waste (light bulbs, batteries).
Essential Skills
Mechanical experience in troubleshooting tanks, heaters, and pumps.
Some electrical experience.
Personable and able to effectively communicate with others.
Some plumbing experience.
Reliable with great attendance.

Work Environment
Protective Coatings is an operating company specializing in finishing aerospace parts. The maintenance team consists of three members, with one maintenance technician on each shift. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, wet or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of low-level electrical shock.
