We are looking for a director for our child care center in the heart of Kent.
We are team oriented learning center with a synergistic and pleasing environment. The staff objective is to enrich our kid's minds through language immersion and character development. Our daycare teachers use their native dialects in order to awaken early language application in students and in turn, improve their development in other areas of learning. Mandatory Requirements:
- 45 ECE credits or equivalent state certification approved by DCYF
- 2 years as a teacher experience in a early learning program (licensed home or daycare center accepted)
- 6 months in administration or management (preferably of an early learning facility)
- Completion of all preservice requirements under WAC 110-300-0105
Job Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional and proficient individual to manage our child care facility. As the Child Care Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care. This is a leadership role that requires strong administrative skills, educational expertise, and a passion for working with children. Ability to speak and/or comprehend multiple languages is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs and curriculum that align with state regulations and federal regulations
-Promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children through informational newsletters, run staff meetings and structure of educational offerings of center
Supervise and support a team of child care staff, providing guidance and professional resolution of daycare challenges
Oversee enrollment procedures, including conducting tours for prospective families and ensuring accurate record-keeping
Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or questions regarding their child's development or well-being
Manage the center's active budget, including monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures
Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in early childhood education
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, parents, and children
